Biography

Dr. Prashant Gahtori is an accomplished academic and researcher, known for his contributions to the field of Medicinal Chemistry and Computer-Aided Drug Design. He holds the position of Associate Professor at Graphic Era Hill University, a role he has been serving since April 2019. In addition to his academic endeavors, Dr. Gahtori is also the Co-founder and Director of eReadOn®, a startup certified by the Government of India and the UK Startup Council.

Dr. Gahtori's academic journey is marked by significant achievements, including a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science from Dibrugarh University in 2012. His research work has received recognition and funding from prestigious organizations. He was a Principal Investigator for a research project funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, which led to a 6-fold improvement in antimalarial activity.

His commitment to research is underscored by numerous awards and scholarships, including the RSC Best Researcher award from the Royal Society of Chemistry and an International Travel Grant from the Science and Engineering Research Board, Government of India.

With a strong publication record, including 28 articles in peer-reviewed international journals, and a significant presence in the field of Computer-Aided Drug Design, Dr. Gahtori's work focuses on Computational Medicinal Chemistry, encompassing a wide range of techniques such as docking-scoring, 3D-QSAR, pharmacophore modeling, and molecular dynamics simulations. His research has a substantial impact on the advancement of drug discovery efforts and has earned him a solid academic reputation.
